The Walton are a very traditional family, with very respective children. The father from the Walton is a hard working mill worker. He is the boss of the house, what ever happens he is the one who will find a way to fix it. His parenting skills are caring and respectful. When his kids need help he is there to listen. The father from “That 70’s show” is one of the mean and always mad type of people. When his family or children needs help hes like whatever. The two fathers have some similarity, like they are both the working type. When anyone in both TV shows need help both fathers will assist them in their time of need.

Atticus is a man who will fight for what is right, but he never think violence is a good way to deal with a problem. Atticus may have felt that he failed as a parent because when Jem got attacked by Bob Ewell and got very hurt Atticus felt that he didnt do the best at protecting Jem. Atticus is terrified about how Jem is going to deal with this huge problem, and that Jem could posiably go to jail and that would be the second person in his family he would loss him.

The Tea party that Aunt Alexandra not to prove her ability to adapt to maycomb but also upgrade her own social status. The ladies of this ‘Missionary Society of Maycomb meet daily to denigrate the innocent African-Americans who constantly face such treatment. Mrs. Meriweather, a devoted member of the Missionary Society continues to mention the ‘Mrunas, a certain African-American tribe that apparently lives in squalor and sin. She continues to praise Mr. J. Grimes Everett who is the savior that is attempting to rid this tribe of their evils and incorporate the loving pureness of Christianity into the Mrunas. Yet, extreme hypocrisy is demonstrated as this situation relates to the prejudiced views whites of Maycomb hold toward African-Americans. The African-Americans in Maycomb, though considerably cleaner and more civilized in a sense, are treated with similar disgust and unreasonable hatred by the white racist community in Maycomb.

My first impression of Bob Ewell is that is very racist and rude man. He is a perfect example of white trash. He is a very lazy man who lives a horrible life. He thinks that all black people are criminals and the worst thing on the planet. Bob Ewell is a man who hates everyone and everyone in town hate him too. Bob Ewell’s kids are very similar to him, racist rude and very dirty people. His kids don’t go to school, all they do is stay at home and work to get food so they can survive. They live completely on the land have to interaction with the people in town.

Jem and Scout have diffrent ways of handling everyday problems. Jem is more understanding and reacts more positivly when a problem happens. When Scout get into a disagrement she goes strieght for violance instead of solving it properly. Jem is a leader and Scout is more of a follower. If Jem gets into a problem he will find a way to solve it unlike Scout, she will just run and get Atticus for help. Scout is more of a trouble maker, she would get into fights and Jem is the one who is be the resposable person  and stop it. Jem is a very loyal person if Atticus tell him to do somthing he will do it, but is Scout gets asked to do somthing she wont do it.

My favorite charactor in To kill a mocking bird is Atticus. He is a admirable charactor, he is one of those people who will never back down and will fight for what is right. Atticus is a man that is like all in town. Atticus a hero to heart and man who dosent care what other people thing about him.

In chapter 14  Aunt Alexandra finds out that Scout and Jem go to a black church with Calpurnia, and tries to forbid Scout from visiting Calpurnia’s at her house. She also trys to convince Atticus to fire Calpurnia but he refuses on the grounds that she has not done anything. Aunt Alexandra’s beliefs that all black people arnt trully human, and she doesnt want Scout and Jem to be around them because, she thinks that it will make her family lesser to other people. Atticus’s beliefs are that Calpurnia has done a great job running the house and taking care of the kids, and the children love her.

Girls during the depression are supposed to act like little angles, doing everything they are told. They are supposed to wear dresses and bows in their hair so they look pretty. They have to be very kind and caring to everyone. Girls in this time period go to school get really good grades. When their Father or mother asks them to do somthing they will do it right away and get it done. girls were trained to be good mothers in the future. Girls would never speak their mind, they would just do what they are told to do. They would learn the everyday life work for a woman, they would have to learn how to cook and clean. They have to be very well mannered and only say the things they are expected of them nothing more.

-Atticus is a very honest, caring, and responsiable person in the book.

-Scout is a tomboy at heart very intelligent for her age, and she is  outspoken girl.

-Jem is innocent, mostly carefree and has a positive outlook on life.

-Calpurnia is a very protective person and she lives a very conflicted life, she is also a very Religous woman.

-Miss Caroline is a very stubborn, cheeky and Emotional woman.

Scout is a person who speaks up and asks questions, just like Atticus taught her to do. When Walter turned down the money the teacher was going to give him Scout explained to the teacher that they have no money and they do not take handouts, and in the end Scout got introuble for defending her classmate. Scout is a very curious girl who asks questions about everything, like she is very curious about boo Radley and Atticus most of the time answers her question and always makes time for her. Jem is alot like Atticus in many ways like when atticus in battling a mob and Scout and Jem come he asked Jem to go home and Jem refuses to back down just like atticus.
